can recommend someone to get the best price for installing tile? Should I go to a store of home improvement (Home Depot or Lowes), a business floor (carpet or an empire), or other ideas? Lowes charges $ 6.50 per square foot to install, is the price? We went into a house next month and I would have installed tile in the bathroom and possibly the kitchen. I'm a solvent, stable, well-employed, individuals worthy of credit. I bought a house seven years ago has more than doubled in value due to market, I am and of course, location-location-location. I have about $ 10k debt (credit cards credit, car). To further increase the value of my house, I renew my kitchen and bathroom to the tune of about $ 16,000. If you consolidate your higher rate credit card debt and car a low rate fixed rate loan secured by mortgage, then it is a good idea. But only if you still have a good amount of equity in your home after additional debt (not only based on market value has increased). Just be careful not to over-lending on the value of your home because the housing market seems be cooling. I hope that your mortgage is a fixed rate as well. Finally, since you say you do not like debt, I hope to cut the credit cards after to pay your mortgage and do not accumulate the credits.
